Boldt Castle Only

Boldt Castle was built by George C. Boldt as a display of his love for his wife, Louise. This 120 room castle is situated on the center of Heart Island while the Power House, Alster Tower, Arch, and Dove Coté are located throughout the perimeter. The tours are self-guided with information aides available to answer any questions you may have. Your ticket entitles you to a one day pass to the Island so spend as much or little time as you like visiting. (Tour boat transportation not included.)

Please note that the Castle opens Saturday of Mother's Day Weekend in May and closes for the season Columbus Day in October.

Yacht House Only

The Boldt Yacht House rises 64 feet above the St. Lawrence River and was capable of housing the Boldt family yachts inside in the slips 128 feet long. It also featured a shop to build racing launches and quarters for crew and staff. The grandeur of the Gilded Age is fully embodied in the structure’s shingle-style architecture, tremendous towers and spires, and the steep-pitched gables. Inside are you will find a collection of antique wooden boats on display – courtesy of the Antique Boat Museum located in Clayton NY. Shuttle service runs every half hour. (Tour boat transportation not included.)
